DEFINING ACTIVE SPONSOR BENEFITS

2. ACTIVE SPONSORS

2.1. Recognition
As an ACTIVE SPONSOR of DEMOCRACY ALIVE, you get ‘broad brand visibility’ and recognition as ‘active sponsor’ of the festival. This means that your logo will be featured in some of the main online marketing materials leading up to the festival (together with the other active sponsors), during the festival, and after the festival (on the festival website, in social media etc.). Moreover, the ‘active sponsors’ will have their logo (medium size and with the other active sponsors) on festival materials, such as physical banners, placed at key locations on the festival grounds.

2.2. Contact
For the ACTIVE SPONSORS of DEMOCRACY ALIVE, the hosts of the festival (European Movement International and Alliance for Democracy) will facilitate contact with relevant high-level stakeholders that are invited to the festival by the hosts. Importantly, however, organisers will be arranging their own events and will in some cases be inviting their own - sometimes high-level - stakeholders to the festival. Considering this, the festival hosts can make efforts to facilitate contact, but contact cannot be guaranteed in all cases.

2.3. Access
As an ACTIVE SPONSOR of DEMOCRACY ALIVE, you will be given special VIP passes that will grant access to all events and receptions hosted by festival hosts (European Movement International and Alliance for Democracy), which will be hosting several of the main high-level events at DEMOCRACY ALIVE). Moreover, where relevant, seats will be reserved upon request. Importantly, however, organisers will be arranging their own events, which in some cases may be private (e.g. internal events, meetings, discussions), and will, therefore, have control over attendees. As a sponsor, should there be a wish to participate in an organiser's private event, the festival hosts can make efforts to facilitate access; though access cannot be guaranteed in all cases.

2.4. Location
At DEMOCRACY ALIVE, the festival hosts (European Movement International and Alliance for Democracy) are creating a festival square where sponsors and organisers can organise innovative and inspiring events and activities pertaining to their brand, as well as on issues that they care most about. Festival hosts will make sure that basic needs are in place upon arrival, such as tents, audio equipment, tables, chairs (etc.). Moreover, the hosts are working with the local business community in Texel and can facilitate contact with local venues (cafes, hotels, restaurants, cinemas) if these venues are more appropriate for the kind of content sponsors would be interested in providing. On the festival square, sponsors and organisers will have designated locations for activities and some locations are better placed than others. ACTIVE SPONSORS will have access to a key location.
